‘Our Year 13 students travelled on their annual trip to Salamanca, accompanied by Rafael Mialdea and Conchita Sande. They visited both cathedrals and the roof tops in the morning and had lunch at “Las caballerizas”. In the afternoon, they had a look at the Convent of St. Stephen and went on a tour around “Lis Museum”. After a memorable dinner, they enjoyed their time in “Camelot” and, believe it or not, both teachers swept their cobwebs away on the dance floor.
The following day, we went to the University and to the Calisto and Melibea´s garden. In order to find true love in life, most students went around the well six times; I am not sure if it will work but some of them surely found themselves dizzy afterwards. They also beheaded Rafa at “la cruz de los ajusticiados”. Most of them took part enthusiastically in the photography contest and several prizes were awarded; congratulations to all participants! The local guide, staff at the museum and restaurant commented on our students´ good manners and behaviour. The hotel does not accept groups except for ISM pupils. We are certainly very proud of them: they were a credit to themselves and to the school.
Both Rafa and myself would like to thank them for their conduct and wish them all the best in their A-levels and future careers’. Conchita Sande.
