Immersed in the English language


One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way.

Children who are immersed from a young age have the best advantage in developing the pronunciation, structure and intonation of the English language easily and successfully. Children who learn a second language from an early age consistently show superior mathematical conceptualization, problem solving skills, verbal acumen, and creativity. Empowered with a second language and appreciation for cultural diversity, your child will be ready to embrace our multicultural world.

Four areas in which your child will benefit from total immersion:


Exposing a child to a foreign language at an early age will result in much easier and better fluency than if they learn later in life. Children’s brains are developmentally ready to accept and learn a foreign language, and fluency comes fairly easily, rapidly, and without accent. Between ages 8 and 12, your child will lose the ability to hear and reproduce new sounds as they did when they were younger, making foreign language acquisition not impossible, but more difficult.

Research tells us language learning is more cognitive than linguistic. A few of the cognitive benefits to learning a foreign language:

- The concept of “object permanence” develops at a younger age

- Better problem solving skills

- Better critical thinking skills

- More creativity

- Better flexibility of mind

- Enhanced memory

- Better multi-tasking abilities

Along the same lines of the cognitive benefits mentioned above, learning a foreign language can also provide academic benefits. Bilingual children have been shown to have better critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, and greater mental flexibility. All these things result in better academic performance.

Bilingual students have been shown to have higher math skills and standardized test scores (including SAT). And, contrary to popular belief, not only does learning a foreign language not inhibit the child’s native language proficiency, it enhances and improves it.

Every conscientious parent wants their children to be well-rounded, to have a love for learning and an appreciation for other cultures, and to grow up to be a successful, contributing member of society.

Learning a foreign language opens doors that would not otherwise be opened. Bilingual individuals have access to resources, people, places, and things that the rest of us do not. Not only can a foreign language provide a competitive edge in the workforce, but it creates a deeper understanding of and appreciation for humanity and culture, which enriches one’s life and personal experiences in the world.

The Pre-School Environment

Children must be offered and allowed to engage in exciting and challenging activities, which support and extend their learning and development. They must have a full and stimulating environment to encourage a range of play, exploration and talk. They need to be able to choose, create, investigate, explore, initiate and persist with activities. 

 We believe that children are active learners from birth and that if we provide them with the right environment, support and experiences, it will help to encourage their curiosity, imagination and creativity. We also need to ensure that we stimulate each child emotionally and intellectually by providing the best circumstances to promote active learning. 

We have designed our Pre-school environment to be cosy and exciting and they are structured in such a way as to promote a child's independence, decision-making and problem solving. 

The environment is organised into clearly defined areas to accommodate different activities appropriate to the development and competence of the children. Areas are divided by the use of low level shelving that reduces distraction and allows them to become engrossed in their activities.


Low level shelving also allows items to be displayed within reach so that children can make deliberate choices about what they want to use in their activities. They have access to a range of materials such as sand, water and paint which helps their creativity and develops their independence. 

Equal emphasis is placed on calm areas of the nursery where the children can feel cosy and enjoy stories, rhymes and songs. Wooden toys, heuristic materials (those that encourage children to discover solutions for themselves) and mirrors enhance tactile and visual stimulation. Every environment is designed to encourage physical skills such as crawling, sitting, standing and walking which are all important for development. 

We use specialist play equipment that has been imported from England to invite exploration and specially selected for quality and play value. This ensures that whatever your child chooses to play with, their learning and development will be supported and extended. The babies in our care are introduced to discovery play through treasure baskets that contain a mixture of natural materials that vary in feel and texture and offer a sensory experience for heuristic play. 

Children benefit from a well designed, well organised and integrated indoor-outdoor environment.
